Terms of Service: The Rules for Using This Site
Content use
Read once, browse forever. Our guides are free to read and free to share with credit and a link back to the original page. You may quote a paragraph or two with attribution. You may not republish full articles, scrape the site at scale, or resell our content or data under the terms.
No professional advice
Everything here is general information, not professional advice, and it is offered in good faith. For visas, health, insurance or safety-critical decisions, check the official source such as your government travel advisory and hire a licensed professional where needed. If you use any place, tool or technique we cover, you do so at your own risk.
Changes
We update this page from time to time. When we do, the new version applies from the moment it is posted, and continued use of the site counts as acceptance. Questions about the terms? Email [email protected] and we will answer in plain English.
Third-party links
We link to other sites when they help, such as booking pages and official tourist boards. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data.
A link is not an endorsement. Check the terms and the refund policy on any site before you hand over money, the same way you would with us.
Accounts and submissions
There are no user accounts on this site today. If you send us a tip, a photo or a correction, you confirm it is yours to share and you allow us to publish and edit it for length and clarity.
You keep the copyright to your own photos. We only use what you send for the article you sent it for, unless you tell us we may do more.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to be accurate, but travel changes daily. Prices move, places close and rules shift. We cannot promise that everything is perfect at the moment you read it.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow from using this site. Always confirm the live details with the airline, hotel or authority before you commit money.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country where we are registered. If a dispute arises, we will try to resolve it with a friendly email first.
If the two sides cannot agree, the matter goes to the courts of that country. We will update these terms as the site grows, and the date of the newest version always applies.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the site changes, for example when we add a new feature. The newest version is the one that applies from the day it is posted, and we keep the date visible so you can see how fresh it is.
If a change is significant, we will note it on the home page for a week. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new wording.
Getting in touch about these terms
If a rule is not clear, ask us and we will explain it in plain language. Write to [email protected] with the phrase terms question in the subject line so it reaches the right folder.
We would rather answer a small question early than argue about a clause later. Fair rules should be easy to understand, and ours are meant to be, so ask us anything at all.
Fair rules, plainly written, so we can all get back to travelling.
